Synopsis
You play as Mélusine (the protagonist's name can be changed in-game), a soul unjustly condemned to Hell and transformed into a succubus|incubus against their will.
Rejected by angels and mocked by demons for refusing to prey on humans, you spend your afterlife walking a fragile line between survival and damnation.
In this world, every soul is granted a Second Existence after death. But not every soul can be saved. Those consumed by regret, desire, or despair become Souillures... corrupted beings stripped of everything that once made them who they were.
Then... Something impossible happens. A mysterious power awakens within you. The power of Purification. A divine gift... Within a demonic body.
Instead of condemning you, Heaven offers you a place within the Exorcists' Guard. Not because they trust you. Because they have no choice.
Assigned to an Exorcist of your choosing, you'll investigate mysterious outbreaks of corruption and uncover truths buried since the birth of the kingdoms themselves.
But the more you learn...
The clearer one thing becomes.
Not every demon is evil.
Not every angel is righteous.
Will you save this world...
Or become the reason it falls?
Perhaps...
Salvation was never meant to belong to Heaven alone.

Future Possibilities
I would like to clarify that SoS will initially be a visual novel focused exclusively on male love interests. The main cast has already been planned and chosen in my mind.
However, I have also already imagined the 7 female representations of the Seven Deadly Sins. Their inclusion is not decided yet and would only happen if there is enough interest and positive feedback from the players.
For now, the project will follow its original vision, but I am open to listening to the community and seeing what they would like to experience in the future.

What the Game Will NOT Include
No Affection Point System
I personally dislike affection-point systems.
You are free to make the choices you genuinely want to make. While your decisions will impact the story, I will never force you to pick specific options simply to please a character or unlock their route.
No Dark Romance
While Souls of Sin contains romance, it is not a dark romance.
All romance routes are based on mutual respect and consent. Although the game explores dark fantasy, psychological horror, and dystopian themes, it does not romanticize abuse, coercion, or non-consensual relationships.

Most sound effects were sourced from the Freesound Community through Pixabay.
Artwork & User Interface (UI)
All character sprites, backgrounds (BGs), CGs, illustrations, and the vast majority of the game's visual assets were created by Scapine.
The current user interface is based on Ren'Py's default UI and includes a few temporary assets, such as the VHS cassette used in the Archives menu, which was sourced from Canva.
The interface is being gradually redesigned throughout development and will eventually be fully illustrated and customized by Scapine.

Development Status
SoS is developed entirely by a single person. Writing, art, programming, and design are all handled solo. Updates may take time, but the project is actively evolving and being expanded regularly.
Some CGs and illustrations are temporarily replaced with "???" placeholders. The corresponding scenes are fully playable and will receive their final artwork in future updates.
This is an early development | prototype version. Content, systems, and visuals may change over time.

I discovered your game (music) on YouTube, and if that's really you singing... woahhh.
I really, really, really love it! The characters are amazing. Your art style is gorgeous I absolutely love the contrast between the light and dark colors.
The MC? Incredible. Honestly, if Mélusine were a romance option, I'd choose them without hesitation. The story is amazing too. There's so much lore, so many mysteries and questions... It's incredibly promising.
I also love the unlockable codex system, and even the little achievements are so cute. But most of all... THE CHOICES! The fact that you can choose whether or not to watch the tape, and that it actually has a small impact at the end? I loved that! Michael's reaction 😂
I haven't discovered everything yet, but I'm already loving it so much. It's incredibly immersive!
